MY WORKOUT OF THE DAY NOTES
Pre-Run Prep
MY WORKOUT OF THE DAY FOR SEPTEMBER 18 2022 Started as follows.
I awoke at 6 am. Immediately drank 16 ounce of water mixed with 1 tsp of Himalayan salt and 1 tbsp of fresh lemon juice. If you decide to drink this, allow your self some extra time due to the fact it will help clear your digestive track. In layman’s terms you’ll be spending some time in the restroom. 1 hour the 9am run I ate 1 full blueberry muffin along with 16 ounces of coconut water.

THESE ARE SUPPLEMENTS THAT I PERSONALLY TAKE. PLEASE CONSULT A PHYSICIAN BEFORE TAKING ANY SUPPLEMENTS.
Run Thoughts For my Workout Of The Day
Firstly, I woke up pretty excited for this run. In this case, I had a friend from the gym that decided to get out of his comfort zone and sign up for a half-marathon. Earlier I told him he was running 10 with me on Friday. Of course, never one to turn down a challenge, he said game on. On the positive side, he did great finishing with the farthest he had ever run at 8 miles. The only thing that I feel stopped him from 10 was we did not allow enough time for his completion. He made an obligation to have lunch with his son and had to stop.
As far as myself, I feel I could have hit that sub 8 minute mile, but I am still learning to train the right way. Yesterday evening I was on a run with my wife and son and decided to do a 5 mile speed training run. I really felt the fatigue today and now know that the day before a longer run I’ll need to take it easy.
In conclusion, On another note I highly suggest the Audible book “Endure” by Cameron Hanes. Without doubt, it really kept my mind focused on his story telling. Giving me the ability to enjoy the present run instead of my to do list for the day. At the present time I am using Jabra Elite 85 T as my earbuds of choice. I have trouble, when I start sweating, keeping the earbuds in my ear. Once you find the right fitting for your ear, they stay nice and snug. Plus none of that clicking sound you get from some earbuds due to the vibration of running and sweat combination.
